These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Gateway To Nepal platform, website, mobile services, and related offerings operated by Gateway To Nepal Pvt. Ltd., a company registered in Nepal (“Gateway To Nepal”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By accessing, browsing, registering, or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms.

1. About Gateway To Nepal
Gateway To Nepal is an online travel and hospitality marketplace that connects customers with verified businesses across Nepal, including:
- Stays & Accommodation Providers
- Restaurants & Cafés
- Travel Agencies & Things To Do Providers
Gateway To Nepal acts as a platform that facilitates discovery, enquiries, and booking requests between customers and independent third-party businesses.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, Gateway To Nepal does not own, operate, or directly provide accommodation, tours, transportation, restaurant services, or travel experiences listed on the platform.
2. Eligibility to Use the Platform
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and make bookings through Gateway To Nepal.
By using the platform, you confirm that:
- You are legally capable of entering into agreements.
- The information you provide is accurate and complete.
- You will use the platform lawfully and responsibly.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
3. Customer Accounts
Customers may:
- Browse businesses and listings
- Save preferences
- Submit booking requests
- Leave reviews
- Manage their account information
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities carried out under your account.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
4. Booking Requests & Confirmations
4.1 Stays (Accommodation)
Bookings for Stays submitted through Gateway To Nepal are treated as booking requests, not instant confirmations.
After a booking request is submitted:
- The accommodation provider receives the request.
- The provider reviews availability.
- The provider may approve or decline the request.
- Once approved, the customer receives a booking confirmation email.
Payment for accommodation is generally made directly at the property, unless otherwise stated. Gateway To Nepal does not guarantee room availability until confirmed by the business.
4.2 Things To Do / Travel Experiences
Tours, trekking packages, activities, and travel experiences are also treated as booking requests.
After submission:
- The travel agency receives the booking request.
- Availability and operational details are reviewed.
- The business confirms or declines the request.
- The customer receives confirmation and next steps.
For most experiences, payment is made directly to the travel agency(“Pay at Agency”) unless otherwise specified.
4.3 Restaurants
Restaurant listings on Gateway To Nepal are provided for visibility and informational purposes only. Gateway To Nepal does not currently facilitate restaurant reservations or restaurant payments unless explicitly stated.
5. Pricing & Availability
Businesses are solely responsible for:
- Pricing and applicable taxes
- Availability
- Service descriptions, photos, and policies
- Booking conditions and special requirements
While we strive for accuracy, Gateway To Nepal cannot guarantee that all information displayed on listings will always be current or error-free. Prices and availability may change without notice.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation policies vary by business. Customers are encouraged to review the cancellation terms shown on each listing before confirming a booking.
For “Pay at Property” and “Pay at Agency” bookings, refunds, cancellations, and disputes are handled directly between the customer and the business.
Gateway To Nepal is not responsible for disputes arising from cancellation terms set by independent businesses.
7. Reviews & User Content
Customers may submit reviews and ratings following genuine experiences.
By submitting content, you agree that:
- Reviews must be honest, accurate, and respectful.
- False, abusive, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, or inappropriate content is prohibited.
- Reviews must relate to actual personal experiences.
Gateway To Nepal reserves the right to moderate, edit, reject, or remove any content at our discretion. Businesses may publicly respond to reviews posted about them.
8. Business Listings & Verification
Businesses on Gateway To Nepal may undergo verification processes; however, verification does not constitute a guarantee of service quality, safety, or performance.
Customers should independently evaluate listings and make informed decisions before booking.
Gateway To Nepal shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from the following, when caused by or arising from independent businesses listed on the platform:
- Misrepresentations or inaccurate listing information
- Service interruptions or business failures
- Accidents, delays, or injuries
- Third-party conduct or negligence
- Travel disruptions
9. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Submit fraudulent or malicious booking requests
- Harass, threaten, or abuse businesses or other users
- Upload harmful software or malicious content
- Attempt unauthorised access to any part of the platform
- Misuse reviews, messaging systems, or any other features
Violation of these Terms may result in account suspension or permanent removal without prior notice.
10. Intellectual Property
All branding, website content, designs, graphics, logos, text, and software associated with Gateway To Nepal remain the intellectual property of Gateway To Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
You may not copy, republish, reproduce, resell, or modify any content from the platform without prior written permission from Gateway To Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
11. Limitation of Liability
Gateway To Nepal acts solely as a technology platform connecting customers with independent businesses.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gateway To Nepal Pvt. Ltd. shall not be liable for:
- Any direct or indirect losses or damages arising from a booking
- Booking disputes between customers and businesses
- Service dissatisfaction, delays, or cancellations
- Injuries, accidents, or incidents during a service
- Third-party negligence or misconduct
- Travel disruptions, natural events, or force majeure circumstances
- Miscommunication or errors originating from listed businesses
Customers engage with businesses at their own discretion and risk.
12. Force Majeure
Gateway To Nepal shall not be held responsible for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, civil unrest, epidemics, pandemics, internet outages, or other events of force majeure.
13. Suspension or Termination
Gateway To Nepal reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts if:
- Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected
- False or misleading information has been provided
- Abuse or harassment has occurred
- These Terms have been violated
Where necessary, account actions may be taken without prior notice.
14. Privacy
Your use of Gateway To Nepal is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you agree to the collection and handling of your personal information as described in that policy.
15. Changes to These Terms
Gateway To Nepal may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or operational practices.
For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users by email before the new Terms take effect. Updated versions will be published on this page and will become effective on the date stated.
Continued use of the platform after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
